Update on 2021 Application Process and Deadline Due to the many uncertainties posed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, The Hearst Foundations’ planning for Washington Week 2021 is currently on hold and applications nationwide are NOT being accepted at this time. Please check their website for updates.
For juniors or seniors who are US citizens serving in a student-elected capacity such as: ·Student Body President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer; ·Class President, Vice President, Secretary, or Treasurer; ·Student Council Representative; ·National Honor Society officer (including discipline-based Honor Societies such as the National English and Social Studies Honor Societies that include service components); -Student representative elected or appointed (appointed by a panel, commission or board) to a local, district, regional or state-level civic, service and/or educational organization approved by the state selection administrator.
Two delegates and Two alternates are selected from each state.
Participation in the US Senate Youth Program is required in order to receive the college scholarship. Senate Youth Program for 2018-2019 is March 7-14, 2019, held in Washington DC.
