Microfinance Club

“Poor people are bonsai people. There is nothing wrong with their seed, society never allowed them the space to grow as tall as everybody else.” -Muhammad Yunus

"Business money is limitless." -Muhammad Yunus

Our club meets Wednesdays during block lunch in room 660 (new wing). We make one micro-loan per meeting to people in developing countries through the site www.kiva.org These loans improve the economies of these countries by helping individuals become self sustainable with their own businesses.

Mission Statement: To galvanize interest and awareness in microfinance through use of kiva.org and other methods of outreach.

If you are interested, please come check us out! Everyone is welcome.
