About us

Who are we? The Fairview Model United Nations Team has been a popular club at Fairview over the past 10 years. We currently have over 50 student-members who compete in conferences within the state as well as out of state. In past years we have attended conferences in New York, Washington D.C., Denmark, and Italy!

Who can join? It's never too late to join Model UN! We welcome students from each and every grade to be a part of our club at any point in the year. Many of our students are involved in an array of other extracurriculars. There are members who are involved in the tennis, golf, basketball, football, cross-country, track, lacrosse, soccer, and baseball teams, as well as members who are involved in Mock Trial, FBLA, and Speech & Debate. If you are interested in current events, problem-solving, international affairs, public speaking, or politics, this is the club for you!

Why join? Model UN is rich in competitive and passionate students. As stated above, nearly every member of MUN is not solely involved in just Model UN. MUN teaches students about the problems around the world that they would likely never know about; and it teaches them how to solve those problems. The club is invaluable to whoever joins.

How do I join? Membership is open to anybody...just come to one of our meetings (Thursday, Block Lunch, Room 629) and talk to a member of the leadership team. Conferences occur on Saturdays once every four to six weeks.
