Sister Act is a musical based on the hit movie (1992) starring Whoopie Goldberg. When a lively lounge singer witnesses a murder she is relocated for her protection. Disguised as a nun in a convent she proceeds to upend the quiet lives of the resident sisters. To keep her out of trouble they assign her to the convent's choir, an ensemble that she soon turns into a vibrant and soulful act that gains widespread attention.
