National Honor Society (NHS)

The National Honor Society is the nation’s premier organization established to recognize high school students. More than just an honor roll, NHS serves to recognize those students who have demonstrated excellence in responsibility and service.

NHS Prospective Member Meetings

Students interested in joining National Honor Society should attend a prospective member meeting either Sunday, March 7th at 8:00 PM or Monday, March 8th at 8:00 AM using this link: https://meet.google.com/xkg-iiyp-qob. Attendance at one of these meetings is mandatory to be considered for NHS. Please also keep in mind that students must have at least a 4.0 weighted GPA in order to be considered for membership. Prospective Members & Cyber Seniors Volunteering

If you are interested in being a member of NHS in the coming school year, please attend the one of meetings on March 4th and 5th at 8:30 am. Please read article VI of the member bylaws for the requirements to be considered for selection.

In addition, it would be beneficial to have at least 10 hours of service before being considered for selection to NHS. Cyber Seniors is a great way to help... (continued)

Missed Meeting Information from Bylaws

Section 2: Members shall be allowed no more than two unexplained absences per school year with any more than two unexplained absences establishing grounds for dismissal.
Section 3: Members shall have the right to petition the executive council in writing for the granting of an explained absence. Two explained absences shall equal one unexplained absence. The petition must be submitted to the executive council within one week prior to or within the week following the meeting not attended... (continued)
