Fairview High School > Web Team Messages

First Meeting

Posted on August 28, 2014

We will be having our first meeting tomorrow after school at 3:30 PM, in room 424 (science computer lab). The meeting will likely take around an hour, although anyone is welcome to stay longer if they would like.

The web team is dedicated to improving the school's technological climate by developing, managing, and improving the Fairview web site. We actively maintain the existing site and create new features throughout the year to help students and faculty to get more use from the site. A multitude of topics are discussed throughout the year, some of which are:

  • HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript, and Ruby on Rails
  • User Interface Design/User Experience
  • Software Development Processes
  • Unix Administration/Command Line Usage

The team is open to people of all skill levels, ranging from beginners to full-stack web developers.

If you've ever wondered how the internet works, or wanted to learn how to use the tools that are used for professional software development, come and take a look!
