Hello and welcome to a very different, yet still exciting school year! My name is Mr. Jones and I'm heading into my third year teaching at FHS and my 15th in BVSD. I've been teaching high school Language Arts since 1999, so this is year 21 for me.

In my free time I enjoy staying active, reading and writing, and spending time with my family of five. My wife teaches third grade and my children are ages 8, 10, and 12. We all love to ski, travel, camp out, fish, and play sports like hockey, baseball, football and soccer. I am also part of the Knight Crew this school year and I coach varsity football here at Fairview. Sko' Knights!!!

This summer my family and I didn't travel as much as we usually do. No need to tell you why. We took some road trips and spent a lot of time paddling our new kayaks around local lakes and reservoirs. My kids were able to still enjoy many of their sports and hobbies...just in a more socially distant manner.

This year I'll be teaching 10th grade Language Arts along with IB Film. We will use google classroom to manage all our calendars, assignments, and daily work for each of these classes. We will use schoology as our launchpad each week but Classroom will remain our main learning platform. But as the world has proven us...things could change at any minute! So always be prepared to be flexible and ready to drive the success of your own learning-- this year more than ever!
