The course provides opportunities to consider film texts, theories, and ideas from different individuals, cultures and nations. Students will also develop professional technical skills in writing, lighting, shooting, editing, scoring and finalizing film projects. Most aspects of the course will center on the use of modern digital media, while making regular reference to classic films techniques. IB Film HL This course continues the study of film history, theory, and production at deeper, more involved levels. Students can expect a more sustained engagement with the materials and projects. The individual and group nature of film production will be further explored as students gain skill in critical thinking, reflective analysis and imaginative synthesis required by the art and craft of film-making.
