Hello all! My name is Kenai (pronounced like a keen eye!). This is my first year working in BVSD. I am part time at Fairview as the Study Hall teacher as well as an academic tutor, and part time at Arapahoe Ridge High as an academic tutor :) I graduated from the University of Redlands in 2018 with a BA in Asian Studies with a focus on Women's Empowerment and a minor in Women, Gender and Sexuality Studies. After graduation, I embarked on to the world class city of Chicago, where I had the most incredible and transformative time, to do two years of Public Allies (PA) AmeriCorps (a national community service government organization). Through PA I apprenticed at the nonprofit Chinese Mutual Aid Association serving immigrant and refugee families from all over the world in a family literacy program. I'm excited to continue building on work that supports the youth, families, and the community.
