WEEK OF OCTOBER 12, 2020
This week, we'll be briefly looking at the European Renaissance and the Protestant Reformation, but most of the time will be given over to you for work on your semester final research paper.
On Tuesday, we'll spend about half the class on a powerpoint about the Renaissance; the other half will be spent going over the parameters of the research paper

This week, we'll be looking at the Medieval period around the world.
Tuesday will be given over to completion and discussion of the INSPECT Time-Tours activity - you'll have the first hour of class to put on finishing touches before turning it in, then we'll spend a half-hour or so discussing medieval history. You'll also be provided a feedback form, so that you can let me now how much you and your colleagues contributed to your respective projects.

This week, we'll continue our look at Rome, focusing on the rise of Christianity and the decline and fall of the empire. We'll be reading from World History: Patterns of Interaction, chapter 6 - last week, you read Sections 1-2; this week, it'll be Sections 3-5.
Your assignment to ready for Tuesday's class is to read Chapter 6, Section 3 (pgs 153-157)
On Tuesday, we'll be looking at early Christianity and its spread through the Roman Empire. (for Wednesday, read Section 4, pgs 158-16)3
